I decided to pay a little more for a quality recorder. I'm glad I did! This little machine is awesome! It took me a bit to figure out the buttons and features (I'm a blonde!), but once I did, I couldn't be happier with this little recorder! The stereo mic pics up the slightest sounds and the playback is great. I needed one that was USB compatible so I could use a voice editing program on my laptop. If you're looking for a recorder to do EVP work, I highly recommend the Olympus DS-30. I'm sure it would give the same quality results for any recording needs. Buy it.
