This small, seemingly fragile, piece of book paraphernalia has been one of the best buys I've ever made.
And at one of the best prices: I've never seen it advertised for more than $7.-. (A quick check shows a price range of $3.15 to $5.69. {Remember, shipping charges will apply, raising the final cost.})
While it's not designed to hold open thick paperbacks (say, something by Stephen King), it does hold open every hard cover and textbook I've insert into it. (A suggestion: If one wants to keep open a King-like paperback, try a weighted leather bookmark. It's my second-favorite piece of book paraphernalia and runs for about $10.-.)
Also, I am disabled and am physically unable to hold books open. This has extended my reach and ability to continue reading. A life- and limb- saver.
By holding up a book, I can eat and read, take notes and read, and sometimes just read.
It's wiry, but mighty.Get more detail about Fellowes Wire Study Stand, Metal, 9.5 x 6 x 5.5 Inches, Silver (10024).
