In light of the fact that I'm willing to shell out the higher price for genuine OEM (refills/compatibles simply are not as good), it irritates me to no end each time I have a cart that can't be recognized by my printer. I've probably had four in the year and a half I've had this particular printer (RX595). Now, I *will* give Epson credit for great customer service in that they send out a replacement ASAP, no questions asked, after they've walked through all of the possible scenarios. Kudos to them.
But, I'm 90 miles from a store than carries Epson carts and with an online business, my printer simply can not have down time. I can't wait the few days that it takes for my replacement to show up, so I have to drive that 90 miles to get another in the mean time. Or, I have to keep at least two carts of every color on hand in the fear that one of them is going to be another that is unrecognized.
I've used Epson printers (and OEM ink) for over 10 years. But, I'm seriously considering dumping them and trying someone else next time... Get more detail about Epson Claria Hi-def Color Ink Multi Pack w/5 cartridges (T078920).
