I bought it over a month ago and could not be happier. I had some problems at the beggining because my hard drive was formatted as FAT32 and as such the media library features does not work (would spend over 5 min searching media every time I connected the HD, empty recent folder). Reformatted to NTSC and voula!
I use it almost exclusively for movies and the image is great and so far it has played everything I have thrown at it. Update Firmware is very easy and worthy.
The only thing I dont like is scrolling down in folder with many items... should have a page down/up button.
Can not say anything about the control since a use a Harmony.
Great product, good value.
Now I see they launched the Live version with network port for $20 more... sound really cool.Get more detail about Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player.
