HP has a verifiable history of not supporting its products when a new OS comes out, which is every 3 years or so. I've had 3 HP printers that have been abandoned by HP.
Latest example: I have just purchased a Windows 7 machine and realized that there's no complete driver for an HP Inkjet I purchased in 2007 -- I cannot clean heads, read ink levels, etc. HP response? "HP has no plan to develop the full feature printer driver for this operating system".
