Before I ordered this scanner, I studied the previous reviews; it took quite a while to figure out just how the scanner was being used by other reviewers, and whether it would suit my purpose. Basically, I have 30,000 35-mm slides to be digitized; not many of them are of sufficient quality to warrant use of all the features of thi scanner, and even for those few, I would probably create a high resolution scan and top it off with some Photoshop work. So, fundamentally, I scan all my slides to storage "as is", and worry about image improvement later. The Perfection V500 does this basic job, in professional mode, about twice as fast as my old scanner, and I have confidence that all 30,000 slides will be processed. The best ones can wait a bit.Get more detail about Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner.
