This printer has given my family everything we were looking for in this kind of device.

We purchased the Canon MF4350D to replace a 13-year-old HP 5P and a 6-year-old HP Scanjet 5300C. Compared to our old equipment, the Canon is incredible. My wife scans a lot, and the Canon scans pages in less than 5 seconds per page when using the document feeder. It doesn't take much longer to scan using the flatbed.

I had read previous reviews about troubles with using the Copy button on the printer to initiate a scan. Our printer came with the necessary firmware update already installed.

Printing is very quick, and the double-sided capability is saving paper. We have the printer connected via USB to our primary desktop.

We are not using any of the faxing features.

The setup of the printer was very easy, but I had a problem when I plugged my iPod into the computer with the printer connected. The iPod was not recognized by Windows. After much research, I determined that the problem was too much power being drawn on the USB controller. I purchased a powered USB hub and the problems went away. First off, the batteries are drained already, it is so old. Second, you cannot replace the batteries because the cover is screwed in too tight. The battery cover has two holes that a "key" goes in to twist it open, and I broke the key from twisting so hard because it would not open. I was looking for DECT 6.0 phone system with a plug in headset. These two requirements pretty much eliminated most of the other brands. All of the Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone systems have plug in headset jacks. However, only this model offers a 3 stage volume control for the plug in headset, the other models have only one level. My Belkin headset works great on this phone system, it is loud and clear on the lowest volume setting. The phone system works great in my house. I really love the fact that the handsets all use standard AAA rechargeable batteries because it will make replacing them in a year or two very inexpensive. I wish all cordless phones used AAA batteries.

The phone system was easy to setup. The back lighting on the LCD is clear and bright. The talk time is very generous.

The phone system has some really cool features such as selected caller ID blocking where you can set the phone system to block certain numbers where the calling party would get a busy signal.

The phone system does have limitations which have been extensively discussed in other reviews. The primary limitation is that the base controls all handsets and is not available while any handset is in use. The second limitation is that the two extra handsets (to get to 6 handsets), model KX-TGA930T, are not the same as the 4 handsets that come with the phone system. The difference is that the keypad on the extra handsets are black instead of clear. I've gone through too many desk lamps looking for one that's just right. If I had hair, I'd be like Goldilocks looking for the perfect fit.
For me this lamp is a perfect combination of illuminatin and style. The six inch base doesn't take up a lot of room and the lamp shade is adjustable by the flexible gooseneck.

I don't want a lamp that lights the whole room; I've got a floor lamp for that. The Globe desk lamp illuminates a large enough concentrated area to light my large desk calendar and keyboard; it makes reading in that limited area comfortable.

The cord is not very long, but reaches far enough for my needs. If you need a six foot cord, you'll need an extension.
The on/off switch is on the cord, about a foot from the lamp base. Depending on placement, this could be a problem in some applications.
Replacing the special fluorescent bulb with built in ballast could be a problem. I haven't seen bulbs like this in stores, but they are available on Amazon. If you buy this lamp, you'd be wise to buy an extra bulb at the same time.

When I buy a laser printer I have two criteria that must be met: it must be postscript compatible for printing graphic design proofs and it must have fairly accurate color.

This printer has done a fair job of both. It is postscript compatible but the accurate color is a little lacking. I've found that color proofs are a little dark and slightly heavy in magenta and cyan.

I've owned HP color laser jets in the past and I like that there is no drum roller, only cartridges to replace. This can save $200 in replacement part costs. I like that you can replace one color at a time and I find that I don't have to do it too often. The cartridges are way overpriced but I think that is common with any printer these days.

I have no trouble printing on a variety of papers. I never use the card readers in the front but it is convenient to have them.
I have hooked the printer up to a network with no trouble.

It does not take too long to print but is fairly loud. It is also loud when it cycles on its own.

It does have a power save mode that it goes into automatically.

I really wish I had a second drawer to keep preprinted paper (invoices or letterhead). I have not found that the front paper feeder is easy to use so I always use the pull out drawer.
